Pathogenic bacteria settle in biofilm on conveyor belts, cutting boards and containers used in production. Biofilm is hard to remove.

The solution

Wet heat, delivered by microwaves

Plastic production aids are wetted before treatment. The microwaves pass straight through the plastic and heat the water and the moisture inside a Listeria cluster.

The method is the first in the world that is both effective and measurable, and it retrofits onto existing production lines.
