If the technology reduces the number of cases by between 35 % and 40 %, it has made a big difference. Listeria can be fatal for people with weakened immune systems and for the elderly; pregnant women can infect the fetus without becoming ill themselves (source: FHI).

Green technology

The technology does not apply chemicals — it replaces the large volumes used for disinfection in the food industry today. It is patented and under continued development at Tranoy.
